Quad C Sang Star-Spangled Banner at the Ballgame

The Cincinnati Children’s employee appreciation events this year were a huge hit with three days of Reds games, giveaways and concessions. For one of our Radiology staff, the ballgame on Sunday, July 21, was the choir highlight of her whole life!

Gail Pyne-Geithman (medical writer) sang with the Cincinnati Children’s Choir Collective (Quad C), led by Brian Wildman (Patient Services) and with music direction by Nate Ewusie-Mensah (Music Therapy). The Collective was invited, along with any other interested Cincinnati Children’s employees, to sing the Star-Spangled Banner at the Sunday ballgame, and they met the task admirably. Thirty-seven singers rehearsed for weeks leading up to the event and had a blast doing it.

The featured image above is the choir before descending to the pitch to sing, dressed in matching CCHMC-blue shirts provided generously by Human Resources for the event.
