By: Glenn Miñano

Hello, my name is Vinicius Alves, but you can call me Vinny. I’m the new Research Fellow at Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Department. I was born and raised in Brazil. I have lived the past 16 years of my life in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

My passion for science and discovery as well as my willingness to provide comfort for those who are in need was the deciding factor in my going into the medical field. I received my M.D. in 2021 from Universidade Federal Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I will be joining Dr. Andrew Trout and Dr. Jonathan Dillman’s research team.  I will be mostly participating in pediatric body imaging research.

My main hobbies include hiking, running and discovering the food and arts scene of a city. The last movie I saw was Nomadland. The last book I read was Justice by Michael Sandel.
