Radiology’s Anesthesia Imaging Nurses Nominated for the Team Daisy Award During Nurses Week

Do you know what week it is? It’s Nurses Week here at Cincinnati Children’s! Our Radiology department is proud to recognize the anesthesia imaging nurses being nominated for the TEAM Daisy Award! The DAISY Award is used to recognize nurses for their excellence in patient care.  Nurses use their education, skills, and compassion to make a difference in the lives of others.  Please join us in thanking those extraordinary nurses who are our unsung heroes.

The DAISY Award is supported by the not-for-profit DAISY (Disease Attacking the Immune System) Foundation. Bonnie and J. Mark Barnes created this foundation and award as a way to remember their son, J. Patrick Barnes.  Patrick died of complications of idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura (ITP). During his prolonged hospital stay, his nurses did such a great job of caring for him that the Barnes family created an award that continues to recognize nurses throughout the country every day.

Our Radiology department and the rest of Cincinnati Children’s honors the DAISY Award nominees and recipients for their outstanding nursing clinical skills, compassionate care, and commitment to excellence. We are proud to have you on our team!
