Wrap Up of Last Week’s Events

Wrap Up of Last Week’s Events

Last week came and went like a whirlwind, or maybe everyone was just super busy and it seemed like it went by very fast. Here is what transpired the week of October 27th to November 1st in our Radiology Department. We wrapped up our United Way fundraising campaign, celebrated Halloween, and said goodbye to a beloved co-worker on her last day before retirement.

The month of October saw our fundraising event to help raise donations to charities and organizations under the United Way of Greater Cincinnati. Gift cards, prizes and Paid Time Off hours were raffled to raise donations within the department. We also collected non-perishable goods for the Food Drive. We held an Ice Cream Social in the middle of the month to remind folks and to generate more donations to these worthy causes.

Halloween on Thursday of that week did not disappoint! To some employees, this holiday was their day to shine. In connection with the United Way event, senior managers and our Radiologist-in-Chief,  Dr. Coley all dressed in costume and paraded around the department (see featured image), wishing everyone a Happy Halloween!

On a bittersweet note, Lori Meunch’s last day in the Radiology Department was Friday, November 1st. Lori was an Ultrasound Technologist for thirty-seven years at Cincinnati Children’s. Co-workers wished her well on her last day. An earlier blog article was posted about Lori and her years at the hospital.

Congratulations Lori on a full career; we will miss your smiling face and your fun-loving personality!
