Today ends our “Patient Experience Week” celebration, introduced by our previous post earlier in the week. All through the week the Radiology Department organized events and activities for our staff and faculty to enjoy. Our theme for this year was Hollywood, You’re a Star! This event was lead by Dianne Hater, patient advocate in our Quality Improvement and Compliance Division, with help from several Radiology employees.
All week our staff took on the challenge to be a “Patient Experience Star” for our patients and families. Challenges included walking families and visitors to their destinations instead of giving them directions as well as saying, “Good morning/afternoon/evening!” to ten people during the first hour of their shift.
Last Tuesday, we held the Patient Experience Event in our large conference room. We recognized all Patient Experience Award Nominees and announced the three winners! Staff were encouraged to stop by and pick up their PE nominees, enjoy popcorn and refreshments and enjoy a red carpet photo booth. The three winners were Barb Hagee, Tony Dandino and Melissa Cowles!
A big “THANK YOU!” goes out to all our Radiology staff and faculty for contributing to this year’s Patient Experience Week.
