In the words of Lemony Snicket, “the holiday season – like all the other seasons – is a good time not only to tell stories of miracles, but to think about the miracles in your own life and be grateful for them.”
Last month we launched a virtual “Thankful Tree” on our Facebook page. A single “Like” started a chain reaction and within 24 hours stories of gratitude were being posted and shared with thousands.
During the month of December, we want to continue the tradition of spreading good will and good cheer by filling our blog with personal stories that reveal the spirit of the season.
They can be stories that heal, teach, and inspire. Stories that make people laugh, or pause and reflect. Stories of wishes granted, dreams come true and perhaps even a miracle or two.
If you have a story you would like to share, please e-mail it to us at mediarelations@cchmc.org with the title “Giving Stories” in the subject line.
Be sure to include your name, your e-mail and a daytime phone number so we can contact you if necessary. We encourage you to include photos when possible and a picture of yourself. (Maximum size 5M)
Submissions to “Stories of Giving and Giving Back” will be reviewed and published between December 4 and December 31, 2012. Please understand that due to space and time limitations, not all stories will appear on our blog and may be posted on our Facebook page instead. If your story is selected, we reserve the right to make any spelling and grammar changes, and edit it for length, if necessary.
By submitting your story, you are granting Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center unlimited rights to publish it along with any photographs provided by you on our blog and/or other Cincinnati Children’s social media outlets. Furthermore, you acknowledge that you are the original author/owner of the material and it is not protected by or subject to any copyright or privacy laws.
Thank you for sharing.
