Firearm injuries are now the leading causes of death among children in the United States. It’s a heartbreaking truth, but it’s also one we can help prevent. With the use of secure firearm storage, open conversations, and education, we can all take steps to keep our kids safe.

In this incredibly important episode of the Young & Healthy Podcast, host Bo McMillian sits down with Dr. Richard Falcone, a pediatric trauma surgeon and chief of staff at Cincinnati Children’s. Dr. Falcone shares practical steps families can take to protect their kids from firearm injuries and deaths.

In this episode you’ll hear about:

  • The importance of firearm storage and different storage options.
  • How to talk to your family and friends who may own firearms and set clear boundaries.
  • Tips for talking to your kids about firearm safety.

This is a must listen episode for any parent, caregiver, or family member who wants to be part of the solution to a growing public health concern. Together we can protect all kids from firearm injuries and deaths.
